Deer and Doen Reglisse-mekko on yksi tämän vuoden Make Nine -haasteeni kaavoista. Ihastuin tässä mekossa sen ajattomaan tyyliin, joka on mielestäni muunnettavissa moneksi.

Ompelin tämän mekon puna-valkoisesta puuvillakankaasta. Kangas sopikin mekkoon hyvin.

Tietäen Deer and Doen mekot yleensä hyvin lyhythelmaisiksi, päätin lisätä mekon helmaan noin kymmenen senttiä lisää pituutta. Tämän lisäksi pidensin mekon yläosaa muutamalla sentillä. Näin sain mekon mittasuhteet sopimaan paremmin omaan vartalooni ja tyyliini.

Tässä mekossa ei ole vetoketjua tai nappeja. Se vedetään pään yli, ja muotonsa se saa vyötärön kuminauharypytyksestä. Kaava antaa tähän kaksi eri mahdollisuutta. Itse päätin ommella rypytykset käyttäen ompelukoneen alalankana kuminauhaa. Toinen vaihtoehto olisi ollut ommella vyötärölle kuja leveälle pujotettavalle kuminauhalle.

Kaikessa yksinkertaisuudessaan Reglisse-mekko on kuitenkin täynnä ihania yksityiskohtia. Olkapäiden rypytykset, edestä nauhoiksi muuttuva kaulus ja pienen kivat hihat antava tälle mekolle sen yksilöllisen ilmeen.

Ompeluprojektina tämä mekko oli yksinkertainen ja nopea. Pienet hihat oli helppo toteuttaa. Ohjeet olivat hyvät ja helpot seurata.

Suosittelen ehdottomasti kokeilemaan tätä kaavaa, mikäli sitä ei vielä omasta kaavakokoelmasta löydy.

Deer and Doe Reglisse dress is one of my Make Nine challenge patterns this year. What made me want to sew this dress was its timeless style in which I could see many wonderful possibilities for lovely looks.

I chose to make my dress using red and white cotton fabric. This was the perfect fabric choice for this dress.

Since I know that Deer and Doe dresses are usually quite short, I decided to add some 10 centimeters to the hem. In addition to this, I also added few centimeters to the bodice length. This way I was able to make the dress suite my body and style much better.

This dress does not have zippers or buttons. It gets its shape out of its elastic waistband. There is two options for this in the pattern. I chose to do some elastic shirring. The other option would have been to make a waistband with a wider elastic in it.

In all its simplicity Regisse dress is full of lovely details. There are wonderful gathering on the shoulders, beautiful collar that end up to cute ties, and simple little sleeves. These details give this dress its personal style.

This dress was a simple and quick sewing project. Small cap sleeves were easy to sew. All instructions were clear and easy to follow.
